Heidi Burge Horton
Former Collegiate, USA Basketball Team Player, WNBA Player for the LA Sparks and Washington D.C. Mystics 1989-2000 and Coach.
- Currently President and Head Coach of Hoops-School, a premier Youth Basketball Training organization in West Houston (2000 to present).
- Until 2008, listed in the Guinness Book of World Records with twin sister Heather, as tallest female identical twins in the world.
- Currently resides in Houston where she is an Orthopedic Massage and Physio-Therapist.
- Directs and Coaches Basketball clinics for boys and girls through http://www.hoops-school.com
- Until 2009, operated her own Non-Profit Organization, Heidi’s Hoops for Hope, to benefit inner city and less fortunate schools with free basketball camps (’99-’09).
- Is the subject of the Disney cable movie Double Teamed, based on her and her twin’s life story (2002).
- Speaks 6 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Greek and Hungarian.
- Played Professional Basketball for the LA Sparks and Washington Mystics WNBA teams (1997-’99).
- Played Professional Basketball overseas for 7 seasons
- Graduated from the University of Virginia in 1993 with Bachelors degrees in Spanish and Rhetoric and Communication Studies (Liberal Arts).
- Appeared in 3 NCAA Division I Final Four Championships (1990, 1991, 1992).
- Led the Virginia Cavaliers to 3 ACC Championship Titles (1990, 1991, 1993).
- Was an GTE Academic All-American in college.
- Was a National Honor Society (NHS) and California Scholarship Federation (CSF) member in High School.
- Builds strong basketball skills and good character in kids.
- Is a powerful motivational and educational speaker.
